During the consultative process for the forthcoming Indigenous Strategic Plan, the Indigenous Strategic Initiatives Committee undertook focus groups with various communities across campus. Despite the diversity of voices and perspectives represented in these meetings – undergraduate students, faculty, administrators – a key resonating message related to the significant need and desire for cultural competency training on campus. Many of our activities respond to this request.
